RECEPTION INFORMATION

MUSIC SELECTIONS FOR RECEPTION

Keep in mind that the version of the song uploaded to YouTube may be different than the version of the song you hear on spotify, the radio, or the CD. We will use the version of the song you provide. So if the link you submit has talking in the beginning of the video, we will look for the version of that song that includes the talking. Also, please note that if your pasted link doesn’t have the letters capitalized the same way as the YouTube link, it will still work on our end.

TRADITIONAL WEDDING DANCES

i.e. The DJ announces that it’s time for all married couples to get up and join the bride and groom on the dance floor. after the first bar or two of the song, we announce, “anyone married less than 6 hours, please take a seat.” after a few more bars we will announce, “anyone married less than 1 year take a seat,” etc, until one couple remains.
This is the last song of the reception.
i.e. The newlyweds are seated on chairs in the middle of the dance floor, back-to-back. Each will have one of their own shoes and one of their partner’s shoes. a series of questions are asked. This is another way for the guests to get to know the couple, but most of all it’s for laughs and comic relief. The best part is that the couple typically doesn’t know the questions ahead of time, which is a lot of fun!
If you choose to not have explicit music played, you understand that absolute music will do their best to minimize explicit lyrics. we cannot guarantee that all songs will be free of explicit lyrics as it is impossible to know all lyrics prior to playing a song.

WEDDING PARTY INFORMATION

Please phonetically spell any last names that are not common. Please note that the DJ will double-check the names and order of the entire wedding party prior to the introduction.
The song request cards are business card sized. we would place one on each table for easy song requests. guest fills out the song and turns it in to the DJ. The DJ uses their discretion on whether to play the request.

UPLIGHTING

MISCELLANEOUS MUSIC STUFF

This is where you include any details that have not been asked that we should know. For example, let us know if your parents are divorced so we don't introduce them as a couple. This is also where you can provide general music suggestions. For example, no chicken dance but play the hokey pokey, 90s hip-hop and pop songs are okay but no country, and Uncle Steve only gets 1 polka song request after 8pm, etc. You will have the opportunity to make specific song requests in another section.
We prefer not to work from a pre-selected playlist. this is the space where you provide us with song requests that WERE NOT ALREADY added to the worksheet above. we encourage you to keep this to 20 songs or less.

ITINERARY

Please do not email us your itinerary separately. If you are finalizing your itinerary, please do not submit this worksheet until you can include your itinerary.
